Thomas W. Adams 1938 - 2013, born in Bridgeport, Connecticut on March 8, 1938 to Dorothy Lincoln Adams and William James Adams. Tom worked as a firefighter in Stratford, Connecticut for 25 years and retired at the rank of Lieutenant. Upon retirement, he moved to Hartford, Maine, where he worked at the Norlands Living History Center in Livermore, Maine for many years. Tom later worked as a bus driver for RSU 10 until he began his courageous battle with leukemia. After developing complications from his treatment, Tom passed on to a better life on April 5, 2013 surrounded by his six children and five of his grandchildren at Mass General Hospital in Boston, MA. He is survived by his sister Sally Sherwood and his brother Howard Adams both of Kentucky, his wife, Jenifer; his children: Tom Adams and his wife Hope of Virginia, Lori Holden and her husband, Ken of Connecticut, Robert Adams and his wife Ashley, Bonnie Parkin and her husband Jason, Will Adams and his partner Christina Bisson, and Jack Adams all of Maine. His grandchildren Ashley, David, Morgan, Kyle, Kurt, Brody, Emma, Alexis and Madison. He is also survived by his great granddaughter, Madison. Tom lived a long adventure-filled life. He enjoyed working with his hands and learning new things like making his home made maple syrup. Tom also enjoyed spending time with his loving family and friends. He will be missed by all who knew him. A private memorial service will be conducted by the family.
