Thomas Yevich age 71 of Orange, beloved husband and best friend of 47 years to Dolores Korczakowski Yevich died peacefully on Saturday, February 9, 2013. Born in McKees Rocks, PA, he was the son of the late John and Anna Evanko Yevich. A resident of Fairfield, Stratford and Orange, he was a former setup man for Sturm Ruger for over 20 years and had also worked for Red Dot Cab Service. He was a veteran of the Vietnam conflict where he served in the Army. An avid golfer for over 60 years, he would often be seen at the local golf courses. He now golfs with the angels. Survivors in addition to Dolores are his two sons Billy Yevich, James Yevich and wife Roberta, two precious and adoring grandchildren Peyton (P.J.) and Celeste Yevich all of Shelton, a brother Michael Yevich and wife Doris of Shelton, a sister Anna Szymanski and husband Tom of Florida, a sister-in-law Nancy and husband Ron Colombo of NY., a step-grand-daughter Ariela Stein of Washington, DC, several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Monday February 18th from 2 to 4pm in the Commerce Hill Funeral Home, 4798 Main St., Bridgeport (on the Trumbull line).
