Overseer Viola R. Moore, age 67, entered eternal rest Monday, October 29, 2012 at St. Vincent's Medical Center. A native of Crisp, NC; she was a resident of Ansonia for twelve years and of Naugatuck for twenty-four years. Overseer Moore was Pastor of Back to the Bible Church for thirty years. She was predeceased by her parents, Bishop Lonnie and Lottie Fields Gorham. Overseer Moore leaves to cherish her loving memory, four sons, Lonnie R. Gorham of Bridgeport, Fredrick Moore, Jr. of Hartford, Elliott J. Moore of West Haven; Alonzo R. Moore of New Haven; two daughters, Wanda F. Cooks of Ansonia; Nicole Moore of Naugatuck; two brothers, Bishop Robert Gorham and Bishop Ocie Gorham both of NC; five sisters, Mother Dorothy Dickens and Mother Addie Pugh both of NC; Apostle Ardean Richardson of Trumbull; Minister Rosa Harris of NC; Overseer Gail Williams of FL; sixteen grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Monday 10 AM at Holy Ghost Deliverance Cathedral, 705-707 Artic Street, Bridgeport, CT, with Bishop Sherman Watkins, Chief Prelate of Higher Ground Always Abounding Assemblies, officiating. Interment will take place Monday following the service at Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport, CT. Friends are invited to the viewing Sunday from 6-8 PM at the church.
