I was so sad to hear the news. I was privileged to work with Brian on his first organizing campaign and on the executive board. He was someone I was honored to call a freind. And through the years he was never to busy to take a phone call or visit. My condolences to all the family. Now, as always, He is watching out for us from above.

Dearest Petronella Family,
I was shocked to hear of Brian's passing. May the family find peace in knowing he is watching us from above with all of the other beloved we have lost before him. Brian was a warrior for the good of all working people and quite the character as well. My first conversation with him took place from a phone booth where he felt it was so important to return a call about pensions that I had. A very big and genuine impression was left on me. His undying devotion to us all will be remembered for the rest of my life. Please know my thoughts and prayers are with you.

There is no question that Brian left this world a better place for so many people. For his family..who knew of his deep love and devotion to them and to every member of our large and extended family. We will never forget his smile, his laughter, his stories, his energy and his kindness. He truly made our family proud!!
For his union family...Brian believed in every man/woman's ability and their right to have dignity. He did this by working hard to make sure that opportunities to achieve this were fair. That was all he asked.
Elaine, Lindsay, Ashley, Pansy, John, Ronnie, Marilyn, Keri...how lucky Brian was to be your husband, father, son and brother and to know your love throughout his lifetime. His tragic death will never erase the sorrow at this time, but you should find solace that Brian died knowing that there were so many people who truly loved him and believed in him.
Rest in peace our dear Brian. We will truly miss you. Love, Aunt Patti and Uncle Neil
