Alonzo Comeau Obituary

COMEAU Alonzo Joseph Comeau, age 62 of Naugatuck, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, February 1, 2011. Born in St. Ignace, New Brunswick, Canada, he was the son of Cecille Richard Comeau of Hebron and the late Dolphe Comeau. Alonzo was a truck driver for Andrucci Trucking in New Haven and was a proud Marine serving during the Vietnam War where he received numerous metals and citations after completing Jungle Warfare Training. He was a man who was deeply in love with his wife and family and was well respected by all who knew him. He is survived by his beloved wife of 33 years, Margaret (Margie) A. Pierro Comeau; his devoted daughters; AmyLynn Thompson and her husband, Christopher of Plantsville and CaryLynn Parella and her husband, Daniel of Bohemia, N.Y.; a brother, Ange Comeau and his wife, Gail of Newington; a sister, Anna Santangelo and her husband, Rome of Amston; several nieces and nephews; and his loving grand puppy girls, "Cannoli and Biscotti." He was prede-ceased in addition to his father by a brother and sister-in-law, Ola and Zerina Comeau. Friends are invited to attend the funeral on Monday February 7, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. in St. James Church, 2070 Main St. Stratford with burial following in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday February 6, 2011 from 12 noon to 4 p.m. in the Dennis & D'Arcy Funeral Home, 2611 Main St. Stratford. Alonzo was the sweetest ,gentlest man I ever met. We were life long friends being neighbors on Babcock Street so many years ago. What a heartbreaking loss to his family and friends. My sincerest sympathy to Marg, Amy and Cary. Diana Kastner SanGiacomo.
