Charles Ende Obituary
Charles Robert Ende, Jr., age 84, of Milford, passed away on Friday, March 28, 2014, in Milford Hospital. He was born on November 22, 1929, in New York City to the late Charles R. and Ida Allen Ende Sr. Before retiring, he was employed for 22 years at First National as the store manager and Spectrum. An active member of the community, he was a member of Milford DeMolay, a Junior Masons, the National Guard and a cub scout leader. Charles was an avid camper, loved the Milford shoreline and enjoyed the UConn Women's Huskies Basketball team. Mr. Ende is survived by his devoted sons Michael J. Ende (Theresa) of Milford and David W. Ende (Karen) of Colorado Springs, CO, brother David Ende (Adrianne) of San Diego, CA, sister Jocelyn Coppola (Joseph) of North Haven, grandchildren Nicole, Robert, Christie, Alexandra, Rachel, Michael and Erin, great grandson Joseph Gagliardi, Jr. daughter-in-law Maryann Ende of MIlford, sister-in-law Judith Capes (William) of Milford, the White family and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he is predeceased by his loving wife Jane White Ende and son Robert Ende. Calling hours are Tuesday, April 1, 2014 from 4 to 8pm at the Smith & Sefcik Funeral Home, 135 Broad St., Milford. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday, April 2 at 10:30am with Father Maroney. I will always remember the wonderful parties at Jane & Bob and how they always welcomed me with love. I will always remember the happy old birthday signs that Bob would make for my birthdays.
He was always the life of the party with all his different hats. I will miss him but never forget him.
