Fuller, Charles Sr..
The Patriarch of the Fuller Family has been summoned home by our lord and savior on September 29, 2013.Mr. Fuller is predeceased by his son in law Terrell L. Jones (May 2012), his parents, and his siblings, Paul Fuller Sr., Mary F. Scoggins, and Hattie F. Ervin. Mr. Fuller's journey began in Alamance County, NC on February 10, 1934. He was born to Bury Luyco Fuller and Mary Emma Paylor-Fuller. He received his education in Burlington and upon high school graduation; he enrolled himself into the U.S. military becoming a PFC (Private First class) and MP (military police) at the tender age of 19. Post service to his country, Mr. Fuller joined his older siblings in Bridgeport, CT where he met his long time best friend Samuel L. Crook who has been his cherished buddy for close to 60 years. Mr. Fuller later married Flora Marshall, the mother of his four children in 1957. Mr. Fuller was employed as a machinist and worked for such companies as Avco- Lycoming, Bridgeport Machines and Handy and Harmon, retiring from the latter at 65. Mr. Fuller's life long memories will be cherished by his four children, Renee Fuller-Allen (Trent), Charles E. Fuller Jr., (Jacqueline), Kendell D. Fuller (Debbie) and Wendy Fuller-Jones (d. Terrell ). 10 Grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, a former daughter in law- Carolyn Vermont, and best friend Samuel L. Crook. A celebration of his life will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday October 10, 2013 at the Lester Gee Funeral Home, 1390 Fairfield ave, Bridgeport. Calling hours will begin at 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will follow on Friday October 11, 2013 at the State of Connecticut Veterans' Cemetery, Middletown, CT.
