Craig Freyer Obituary

Freyer Sr., Craig W.
Craig W. Freyer Sr., 57, of Milford, CT, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at The Connecticut Hospice in Branford, CT. from cancer related complications. He was born on June 29, 1956, in Yonkers, NY, to Hans B. Freyer and Ruth V. (Engelke) Freyer. Craig is survived by his loving wife of 13 years, Victoria N. (Zielinski) Freyer. They were married in Southington, CT on May 7, 2000. Craig is lovingly remembered by his 3 sons: Craig Jr, Robert, and Kevin Freyer of Wolcott, CT, his 2 step-sons: Alexander Koziol and Matthew Koziol of Milford, CT, and his two younger brothers: Neil Freyer of W. Palm Beach, FL, and Glen Freyer of Brewster, NY.
Craig served in the New York State Air National Guard and worked as a registered nurse, a draftsman, and an armed guard throughout his life. Craig was an avid motorcyclist. He also enjoyed recreational shooting and was a member of the Single Action Shooting Society. He found pleasure in reading, fishing, teaching, and above all, spending time with his children.
No formal services have been arranged at the current time. Craig asked that his body be donated to the Yale School of Medicine to teach the healthcare professionals of tomorrow; a cause very near to his heart.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, at www.cancer.org/donate
