Domenico Lostrappo Obituary
Domenico Lostrappo, age 83, of Bridgeport, Conn, beloved husband of Annetta DePietro Lostrappo, passed away on Sunday, June 9, 2013 in St. Vincent's Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. Born in Pettorano, sul Gizio, Italy on August 10, 1929, he was a son of the late Giovanni and Generosa Lostrappo. Domenico came to the United States in March of 1970, settling in Bridgeport. He was a retired steel worker for E & F Construction with over 20 years of dedicated service and also volunteered at the Salvation Army. He was a hardworking man who cared very deeply for his family and will be deeply missed by his family and many friends. In addition to his wife of 59 years, Annetta, survivors include two sons, Berardino Lostrappo and his wife Diana of Groton and Piero Lostrappo and his wife Nettie of Milford; a daughter, Rosalia Birks and her husband Martin of Bridgeport; a brother, Francesco Lostrappo of Italy; two grandchildren, Shawn and James Lostrappo; three great grandchildren, Mason, N'Italia and Michael; as well as several nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. All funeral services will be private. Was so sorry to hear about your loss. Dominic was a sweet man and we will miss him dearly at Northbridge. I would greet him with "Bongiorno!" and he would always reply, "Bongiornissimo!"
