Dominick Imperio Obituary
Dominick Imperio, age 83, resident of Milford, passed away at home on Friday, February 21, 2014. Born on April 29, 1930 in Naples, Italy he was the son of the late Peter and Christina Imperio. Dominick was a loving father and grandfather. His greatest joy was having his family around him. He enjoyed great Italian food and loved cooking for his family. Dominick loved following sports especially the NY Mets and the NY teams. He was a very wise man and gave great advice to all he knew.
Dominick is survived by his son, Joseph Imperio (Virginia) of NY; his three daughters Christina Salzillo (Joseph) of Milford, Isabella Sarmiento (Camilo) of GA and Antoinette Imperio of NY. He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren Joseph, Peter and Nicole Imperio, Joseph and Michelle Salzillo, Camilo, Nicholas and Michael Sarmiento, and Robert and Kiely Hoyt. Dominick was predeceased by beloved wife Maria Antoinette, his son Peter Imperio, his sisters Rosina, Carmella and Teresa and his brother Antonio.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary Church, 70 Gulf St, Milford, CT 06460. Burial to follow at Saint Mary Cemetery. Family and friends may call on Monday, February 24, 2014 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad St., Milford, CT 06460. I am so saddened to hear of Dominick's passing. My heart is broken. I will miss his handsome face at Mass on Sunday mornings and never forget how sweet and kind he was to me, nor will I forget his thoughtful words of wisdom. He was truly a wonderful, caring gentlemen. Say hi to my Dad (your look a like) in Heaven for me. To his loving family please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.

I am so very sorry to hear of Dominick's passing. We were neighbors until I relocated in 2009. He was always the gentleman. He loved people and people certainly loved him. My prayers to the family for strength and endurance during this most difficult time.
