Frank Herman Harrison, age 93, formerly of Cheshire, CT, passed away peacefully in his sleep on December 31, 2013 in Southington, CT. Mr. Harrison was born on July 22, 1920 in Rochester, NY was one of five children of the late Violet (Whitney) Harrison and Joseph Harrison. Frank was a devoted husband to his beloved wife of 67 years, the late Margaret Mary (Ecsedy) Harrison. He is survived by his two loving children and their spouses, Glenn B. Harrison and wife Del of Boca Raton, FL and Joan H. Dash and husband Glen of Pomfret Center, CT. He is also the survived by his four cherished grandchildren, Jill Kellerman and her husband Rob of Fairfield, Amber Egervari and her husband Gyula of Fairfield, Brian Harrison of Fairfield and Rebecca Dash of Albany, New York. Survivors also include five great grandchildren, Abigail Kellerman, Kiley Kellerman, Taylor Kellerman, Taylor Kellerman, Caroline Egervari and Zander Egervari all of Fairfield, as well as several nieces and nephews. Additionally, Frank also leaves his dear friend and companion, Felice Casella of Southington. Fran grew up in Vermont and later moved to Cheshire, CT where he raised his family. Frank served our country proudly in the US Navy during WW II. Upon returning from the war, he was awarded two patents in the Communication field. After earning a degree in Engineering at the Bridgeport Engineering Institute, he worked at General Electric in Bridgeport for many years. Frank was later self-employed in the appliance repair business, before retiring and moving to Southington. Frank enjoyed crossword puzzles, big band music, traveling and playing golf with his son, Glenn. He maintained his trademark sense of humor all the way to the end. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Salvation Army.
