Harold Blanchard Obituary
Harold Daniel Blanchard Jr., age 77, of Milford, beloved husband of Lorraine Rose Malagoli Blanchard, passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2014 in Bridgeport Hospital. He was the son of the late Harold Daniel Blanchard Sr. and Dorothy Hardy Blanchard. Mr. Blanchard worked as a Manufacturing Engineer for Sikorsky Aircraft until his retirement. He was a member of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers, the Jaguar Club, St. Joseph Parish council and minister of communion in New Britain. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son David Daniel Blanchard and his wife Desiree and their children Miranda and Tyler, and his daughter Julie Brown and her husband Stewart and their children Kristen and Brian, sisters Francis Theriault and Arlene Radke. He was predeceased by a son Brian Daniel and sister Dorothy Theriault. A Prayer Service will be held Friday January 31, 2014 at 11:00 am at the Smith & Sefcik Funeral Home, 135 Broad St., Milford. Friends may call prior to the service from 10:00am. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 2911 Dixwell Ave., Hamden, CT 06518 or American Heart Association, 1 Union St, Suite 301 Robbinsville, NJ 08691.
