Helen Neville Knell of Milford, CT - best known as "Sammy", 92 passed away at home with family by her side on May 10, 2014. She was the daughter of Raymond and Nelle Neville of Youngstown, OH. Upon leaving Youngstown, OH, Sammy worked for Benders Automotive in Los Angeles where she relocated to Hawaii. She married Frank Knell in 1953 and lived in Manhasset., NY for 30 years. Sammy was a Senior Contract Administrator with Grumman Aerospace for 15 years before moving to Milford in 1991.
She leaves behind her daughter Tina Knell Saller and her husband Tim of Milford, CT; James Michael Knell and his wife Lynda of Pensacola Beach, FL and Sheila Knell of Manhasset, NY [predeceased]. Sammy also leaves behind her grandchildren - Ryan and Riley Saller, Layla Knell [predeceased], Jonathan Wenner of San Diego. CA and nephews Rick Clevering of Los Angeles, Chris Clevering of Santa Monica, Kate Ergy of Warren, OH Sue Hollinbaugh of Warren, OH and Margaret Davies of Canton, OH.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary Church, 70 Gulf Street, Milford, CT on Friday, May 16, 2014 at 10:30AM. Her family will receive relatives and friends at Cody White Funeral Home, 107 Broad Street, Milford, CT on May 15, 2014 from 4pm to 8pm.
