Joanne Jones Obituary
Joanne Elizabeth Jones, age 60, of Woodbury, passed away on Saturday, August, 17 2013 surrounded by her family.
She was born on November 22, 1952 to the late Joseph and Katherine Kochiss. Joanne leaves behind her devoted husband of 30 years, Stratford police officer, Gregory Jones. She was a mother to Alexandra Jones and Catherine Allen. In addition to her children, she leaves a son-in-law, Nicholas Allen; and two grandchildren, Parker and Preston Allen. She will be missed by her sisters, Kaycee Erb, MaryLynn Foley and Phyllis Kochiss; along with many loved brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews. She shall be reunited in heaven with her daughter, Hero Jones and her brother, Stephen Kochiss.
Joanne was a graduate of Traphagen School of Design in Manhattan and was so proud of the amazing business she built for herself and her family. She will be remembered for how unbelievably beautiful she could make anything. A special thank you to Sue Skaskew and all friends, family, and caregivers who gave so much of their time to make Joanne feel comfortable and loved in these last few years.
Friends may call on Tuesday from 9:00 am to 10:15 am. Funeral service will be celebrated at 10:30 am at the funeral home followed by entombment at St. Michael Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, please make contributions in Joanne's memory to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105.

I have not seen Jo in many years but remember her so fondly. Back in our teens we used to sneak into the sauna at oronoque village condos. She just loved the sauna and she taught me about beautiful soaps, something to this day I buy for myself often and think of her when I do. I'm sorry we did not stay in touch. My heartfelt sympathy to the whole family.
