To the family of Mr Ponzo,
I will always remember Mr Ponzo as a happy man who enjoyed life to it's fullest. I was a Ffld Police Marine Unit officer for 12 years and used to stop and visit Mr Ponzo at his boat.
On behalf of myself and my father Kenneth Dalling we pass our sincere condolences to you and yours on the passing of your dad.

Cathy, Where do I start? Your Dad was larger than life. I really was starting to believe that he would be here forever. As you know, I met your parents when I was a teenager and my Mom was making clothes for me and her customers. What a handsome man with a laugh and a joke for everyone. You have my deepest sympathy. Wish I could be there for you, but I am in Florida, as you know. Love you, Gail

Cathy,
I am so very sorry for the loss of your dad. I had the pleasure of meeting him once. He spent most of the conversation talking about his great love for you. He was so very proud of you.

May your memories carry you through this very difficult time.

Love,

The Manhattan College alumni community shares the grief, and is now praying for our fellow alumni and the family at this time. The Alumni Office has been informed. As well as the Jasper Jottings community that I personally can reach. We are all a little poorer now. "No man is an island, entire of itself ... any mans death diminishes me". We are sorry for your loss.

It was my pleasure to work and grow to love Mr. Ponzo after he hired me at Federal Fabrics. I worked for him until the business ended and have stayed friends for all these years. We would talk on the phone every now and then and he always was a caring and wonderful man, with a great sense of humor. I'm sure his family will greatly miss him. He was a gentleman for sure.

Dearest john, you were a bright light in a very dark time of my life. You spread joy and happiness where ever you went. The world was a much better place for your having been in it.

Dear Cathy and family,

My husband Bob and I had the pleasure of meeting your dad many years ago in the pool at the (then) Italian Community Center - followed by years at Fitness 4000. It was always a joy to be in his company. He had a gifted personality that always made everyone feel they were important to him - as he was important to them.

We were so honored to be invited to his 90th and 95th birthday celebration and will remember all the wonderful memories we cherish of him. We celebrate his life!
