Joseph Anthony Ambrosino, died June 27, 2013.
Mr. Ambrosino was born in Bridgeport, CT on October 29, 1945. He was predeceased by his father Samuel, mother Evelyn and a brother Robert of Monroe, CT. Mr. Ambrosino graduated from Bassick High School in 1964.
Mr. Ambrosino was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the United States Navy from 1966-1970 on the USS Fulton out of New London, CT.
Joe and his wife Michele lived in Monroe, CT for 28 years prior to moving to Carolina Shores, NC in 2007.
Joe drove an 18 wheeler for Boise Cascade for 13 years and then became a real estate agent for Century 21 in Monroe, CT. Driving was one of his passions and would drive to every destination rather than fly. He loved to see America and drove through almost all of the states. Mr. Ambrosino enjoyed baseball, football and basketball along with fishing, cruising, camping and entering his Corvette in car shows. He had a remarkable love for life that was an inspiration to all who knew him. He will be sorely missed.
He is survived by his wife Michele and two sons, Detective Michael Joseph Ambrosino of the Hamden, CT Police Department and his wife Marian Montano Ambrosino residing in North Haven, CT; Anthony Samuel Ambrosino and his wife Jennifer of Ellington, CT; two granddaughters Toni Ambrosino of Derby, CT and Rebecca Ambrosino of Ellington, CT.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Connecticut at a later date.
