Reeve, Kenneth J.
Kenneth John Reeve, age 77 of Milford, CT passed into eternal rest on February 1, 2014 after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. He was predeceased by his parents, Anna Marie (Page) and Arthur Canfield Reeve of Milford. He is survived by his Beloved wife Barbara Ann (Kupson) Reeve, a brother Donald (Carolyn) Reeve of Milford, a loving daughter Sharon (Paul Jr.) LaBosky of Milford, son Gregory Reeve of Hampton CT., two step children, Brian (Melissa) Degnan of Milford CT, and Brooke (Brian) Soukup of Pocahontas, Iowa, one grandson, Paul LaBosky III of Milford, two step-grand children, Paige and Connor Soukup of Pocahontas Iowa, a niece Cathy (Jack) Dunn of Monroe and nephew William (Diana) Reeve of Boston, Mass., great Uncle to Isabella Reeve also of Boston, a very dedicated, caring, loving and phone pal sister-in-law Eileen (Casey) Carlan of Weston, FL along with a great sports fan sister-in-law Debi (Vern) Spencer of Tennessee, and two brother-in-laws, Thomas (Susan) Camacho and Geoffrey Mahoney also of Florida. Barb and Ken would like to thank our neighborly friends Terri & Marty for all their extended help. Ken was a graduate of Milford High School class of 1954 and served in the United States Navy during the Korean conflict as a Radarman. He worked at U.S. Motors as a machinist and then went to work at Dresser Industries as a Sr. New Product and Inventory Control Planner from 1972 to 1998 when he retired with 26 year's service. Ken's favorite pastime was playing golf with brother Don and friends, Rich, Carl and Ray. He was a Little League Coach in Milford during the mid to late 60's. Ken was also a past member of the Milford Elks Club. He loved and took great pride in doing any carpentry and renovation projects on his own home as well as for family. He loved keeping up a spotless and well maintained yard and home to perfection. He enjoyed planting spring flowers in his homemade flower boxes. His home was his pride and joy and anyone who knew him could see that. Ken made a marvelous wooden 5 Ft. by 3 Ft. American Flag which embraces the exterior front of our home. It was mounted with such enthusiasm and pride and is lit up every night in dedication to our Troops overseas! Ken will be greatly missed by all who have come to know him and be a part of his life. He was a loving and good natured man with a quiet presence. He will be in our hearts every moment of each hour in all the days to come and will be sorely missed by all. Holly, his female dog companion of many years is waiting at the gates of Heaven to meet with him once again as will all of us one day. Lovingly missing you Ken and keeping our 29 beautiful years of precious memories always in my heart, Barbara.
Friends and family may call on Thursday, February 6th from 5 to 7 pm at the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad St., Milford, CT 06460. Burial will be private.
