Nelson Polite Obituary
Nelson Polite, Sr. entered into eternal rest on August 2, 2013. He left to cherish his precious memories his devoted wife, Gwendolyn Polite, Furman, SC, and their children: Tracy Kirkland and Jermaine Polite of Bridgeport, CT. Also his memories are with Christine Polite and their children: Pamela (Russell) Wilson and Donna Siler of Houston, TX, Meredith (Willie) Simpson, Glendale, MD, Hannah (Michael) Jones, Fort Worth, TX, Marvin (Neide) Polite, Bridgeport CT, Nelson (Lisa) Polite, Jr., Houston, TX, Nathan (Aracely) Polite, Bridgeport, CT. Susie Coote and their son Jamie (Denise) Polite, North Haven, CT will always remember Nelson Polite, Sr as well. Likewise his twenty-five grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren; brothers, Gus (Loretha) Polite, Willie (Alice) Polite and Henry (Ella) Polite of Bridgeport, CT, Leroy (Barbara) Polite, Garnett, SC, one uncle, Luther Polite, Garnett, SC, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends, two brothers-in-law and three sisters-in-law. Although we pause today to say goodnight, we shall never say good-bye! Because HE lived - Nelson lived, Because HE lived - we live, because he has gone back to His Father - we await His descending. Because Nelson cannot come back to us - we shall go to him! Memorial Service will be held for Nelson Polite, Sr. at Cathedral of Praise, 45 Gregory St., Bridgeport, CT 06604, on October 5, 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.

Daddy, You were my Hero! You took good care of us children. I Loved being a Daddy's girl. Take your rest in the arms of Jesus. I will miss you. But, as long as Thomas and I live we will light a candle on our birthday to celebrate you too as you departed this world on our birthday (August 2nd this is special to me). Nelson is missed already, but he is no longer in pain and that's a good thing. We all have such fond memories of him which we can cherish and keep him close. May God grant all of us the comfort and strength we need to move forward.
