He was born on January 28, 1948 to Thomas Egan and the late Edith (Weldon) Egan of Fairfield. Tom had an adventurous spirit that impacted everyone around him. He loved to fish on Gardner Lake, was an avid golfer, loved the New York Yankees and always found time to spend with his family. He had a long and successful career as a mortgage banker. Was just thinking about Tom this morning and it brought a smile to my face. How ironic and symbollic I received this Legacy reminder today. Wow. One of my best frinds ever. Rarely a time we were not laughing, joking or busting eachother's chops back and forth. Loved him and his family, and that he trusted his sons career start with me to get him going. Another honor. Miss him dearly but often cite and refer to him as if he is still with me, and I know he is.

To The Egan Family:
I am so sorry for your loss. I grew up with Tom when we lived in Fairfield and if I recall we were in Fairfiled Woods Jr High School together. Reading his obituary he had good life which ended way to young. As a kid Tom was fun to be with and had a warm personality not to mention his sense of humor. He will be missed. Rest In Peace my friend.

To the Egan Family, and all Tom's mortgage "family" throughout the industry,
I am very saddend to hear of Tom's passing. Way to young and vibrant to pass at this point in his life. I've seen Tom for years at the CT Mortgage Expo, NEMBC, always pleasant to others.
He will indeed be missed. Please accept my sympathy and that of my colleagues in the RI Mortgage Bankers Association.

Kathy and Family,
I first met Tom in 1986 at Ct Natl Bank, Bpt and was crazy about him at first sight! We always had a riot of a time whenever he was around...Then, we were all transferred to New Haven with a merger: First Bank??? And that's where he met you, Kathy...I loved working at One Church with Lenny Berger, John Severson, Rick Motasky, Rick Martin, June Allison, and Kathy, you worked downstairs in the main branch. You always were a very fun and nice person to be around...perfect fit for Tom. I am so saddened that one-half has gone...but neither of you to be forgotten. May God comfort you at this difficult time...

Tom was a wonderful person and was always happy and had that infectious laugh. Although I was just out of UCONN and had just started at Connecticut National and brand new to mortgage banking Tom greeted me and treated me wonderfully from the get go and was a wonderful person to work with and who I recently had reconnected with - what a loss, my sympathies to his family he will be missed

My Prayers are with the Egan Family, Tom played a large part in the reason why I remained in mortgage banking back in 1989 when I first met him at Connecticut National Mortgage/Shawmut Mortgage company, he was very kind and understanding to us newer mortgage bankers back then and he carried a ton of knowledge and wisdon that he shared with us often when we saw him in the halls or during the many mortgage bankers functions we attended together.
