Angelina M. Impellitteri

IMPELLITTERI Angelina M. Impellitteri, age 85 of Ansonia, peacefully entered into eternal rest on June 23, 2010, at the St. Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgeport. She was the beloved wife of the late Deacon Michael J. Impellitteri Sr. Mrs. Impellitteri was born in Middletown on November 7, 1924, daughter of the late Sebastian and Maria Cazzetta DiMauro. A resident of Ansonia for most of her life, she was employed as the head pasta maker at the former DeLuca's Pasta in Derby for many years. Angie was a communicant of the Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia and an active member of the Ansonia YMCA and the Ansonia Senior Center. She enjoyed crocheting blankets, especially for Project Linus. She loved her children and grandchildren dearly and was loved deeply in return. She is survived by a son, Michael J. Impellitteri Jr. of Ansonia; three daughters, Maria E. Zacharko and her husband, Stephen of Seymour, Ellen Apfel and her husband, Russell of St. Augustine, Fla.; and Joyce Impellitteri of Ansonia; three grandsons, Max Zacharko of Seymour, and Sanford and Steven Apfel of St. Augustine, Fla.; her canine buddy, Ozzie; and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by brothers, E. Robert, Rosario, and Salvatore DiMauro; sisters, Connie Ginex, Genevieve Nadolny, Josephine Casso, and Rose Russo; and 16 year canine companion, Louie. Friends and relatives are invited to attend her funeral on Monday June 28, 2010, at 8:15 a.m. from the Spinelli-Ricciuti Funeral Home, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. at the Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia. Entombment will follow in Mt. St. Peter's Garden Mausoleum in Derby. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, June 27, 2010, from 2 to 5 p.m. Contributions may be made to the Holy Rosary Church Renovation Fund through the funeral home.
