Dunn, Clifford K.
Clifford Kyle Dunn, age 90, of Stratford, died peacefully on Saturday, October 19, 2013. He was the husband of the late Frances M. Golemboski Dunn.
Mr. Dunn was born in Bridgeport to the late Kyle and Margaret (McMahon) Dunn. He was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran.
He and Fran moved into their home on May 4, 1956 and spent many happy years together. Cliff was considered the "best" neighbor anyone could ever ask for. As he and Fran grew older, their neighbors became the "best" for all of their attention and kindness. Cliff was a true gentleman in every sense of the word. He had a wonderful sense of humor and appreciated a witty joke (usually one of Fran's). Cliff loved to make his perfect Manhattan cocktails.
Mr. Dunn had worked for Prudential Insurance for thirty-five years and after his retirement, he worked part-time as a salesman for the Southern Connecticut Gas Co.
Survivors include his beloved daughter, Kyle E. Perkins-Nolan of Stratford; devoted granddaughter, Alexandra Woods and her husband, Brad, of Ohio; cherished great-granddaughter, McKinley Saylor Woods; his brother, Ernest "Corky" W. Dunn of Stratford; two sisters-in-law, Josephine Kissel of Stratford and Veronica Korey of Goshen, NY; two nieces, Lisa Bender and her husband, Ed of Bethany and Sharon Dunn of Stratford; and one nephew, Michael Dunn of West Haven.
