Donald Michael Denke, 51, passed away on September 1st, 2013 at St. Vincent's Hospital in Bridgeport, CT. He was born in Norwalk, CT November 22, 1961, the son of late Frank and Marjorie (Miller) Denke. Donald was a graduate of Staples High School in Westport and Denver Automotive and Diesel College in Colorado. He has been employed by the Town of Westport for the past 30 years with his most recent position as head mechanic. Best known and will be remembered as the guy that won't say no to anyone who asked for help and having a big heart. Donald has touched the lives of many and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Donald is survived by his two daughters Robyn and Amanda of Wilton, his girlfriend Kimberly Romano of Bridgeport, his brother Frank Denke of Westport, sister Mary Lee Rotella and her husband Angelo of Westport, and sister Pam Fortner and her husband Mark of New Hampshire as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers John Denke and Merritt Denke.
The family will receive friends at the Harding Funeral Home at 210 Post Road E. in Westport, Thursday September 5th from 4-8pm. Funeral services will be held at Assumption Church, 98 Riverside Avenue in Westport, Friday September 6th at 11am. Condolences for the family may be left online at
