Durwood "Larry" Napoleon Bouvier III, age 94, of Stratford, beloved husband of Eleanor (Nickerson) Bouvier entered eternal life Thursday, June 13, 2013 at home with his loving family by his side. Larry was born July 26, 1918 in Bridgeport, son of the late Durwood and Agnes (Hubbell) Bouvier Jr. and had been a life time area resident. Larry was a retired sheet metal techician for Sikorsky Aircraft and a United States Army Veteran of World War II. In his youth, he was a long distance swimmer, loved music and was a professional singer. He enjoyed traveling with Eleanor and was an avid reader. Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two daughters, Jill Bouvier and her husband Jack Maillet of Monroe and Judy Stanko and her husband Dennis of Seymour; two grandchildren, Kevin and Daniel Maillet, both of Monroe; in-laws, Gilbert Archer of Oregon, Pat Buck of Arizona and Winston Archer of Orlando and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Thomas and Joseph Bouvier. Funeral services and interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
