Edith Pawlak Commune

COMMUNE Edith Pawlak Commune, age 75, beloved wife of the late Salvatore Commune of Ansonia, peacefully entered into rest Wednesday morning, October 29, 2008 at the Hilltop Health Center in Ansonia. Mrs. Commune was born in Ansonia, March 25, 1933, daughter of the late Frank and Stella Kaiser Pawlak. A lifelong Ansonia resident, she was devoted to the care and well-being of her family and was an avid Bingo player. She is survived by two sons, Lawrence S. Commune and his wife, Patricia of Ansonia and Ronald Commune of Ansonia; a daughter,, Patty Alves and her husband David of Orange; two sisters, Estelle Maziuk and her husband, Anthony of Ansonia and Victoria Lally of Ansonia; five grandchildren, Mark Commune and his wife, Theresa, Lindsay Commune, Ronald Commune, Heather Commune, and Michael Alves; three great-grandchildren, Colby, Davis, and Carly Commune; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Frank Pawlak Jr. Friends and relatives are invited to attend her funeral on Friday, October 31, 2008 at 9:15 a.m. from the Spinelli-Malerba-Ricciuti Funeral Home, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am at the Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Peter's Cemetery in Derby.
