DiBlasi, Elia Leo.
Elia (Leo) Diblasi, 57 of Stratford, passed away Thursday July 11,2013 in Branford Hospice surrounded by his loving family. Leo, survived by Linda Weiss, his soul mate and loving companion of 16 years and his daughter Lori who he loved dearly and was so proud of, was born in Bridgeport to the late Liberatore and Grazia Capuano DiBlasi was the proprietor of Leo's Pub in Shelton for 16 years and recently a salesman for Sunshine Floors. A graduate of Bunnell High School, Leo in his youth was always involved in athletics having played in Sterling House Little League and Stratford Pony Baseball, boxed for the Stratford PAL Boxing League, Pop Warner Football and played football for Norwalk Tech in Norwalk. Leo's greatest passions were playing golf at Whitney Farms in Monroe with his many friends, riding his Harley motorcycle and loving life. Leo loved and lived life to the fullest and he and his big personality never missed a chance to be with his many friends. In addition to Linda and his daughter survivors include his stepsons Ryan and Jordan Weiss, sisters Josephine, Sara and Rebeccah and his special nieces. Leo was pre deceased by his brother Calogero and sister Teresa. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Smilow Cancer Center and the Yale medical team and amazing nursing staff. A memorial service will be held in the Adzima Funeral Home, 50 Paradise Green Pl. Stratford on Tuesday July 16th at 12:15 pm with the Reverend Dr. Robert Genevicz officiating. Friends may call from 10:00 am until time of service. Inurnment will be private.
