Gerry (Jerry) Frank Franco Sr, 67, of Bridgeport entered into eternal life on Tuesday June 25, 2013 at his daughter Lorri's home, where he was residing under hospice care until his passing. Jerry was born Dec. 26, 1945 in Norwalk, the son of the late Joseph and Wanda (Loiewski) Franco. He attended Norwalk schools and later resided in Bridgeport. He retired from the home improvement business. Jerry was an avid trivia fan, loved movies, the Giants and fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Lois (Jeanne) Franco, of Bridgeport, his daughter Lorri Franco and her husband Thomas Harrell of Bpt, Sons: Gerald Jr. (Nicole) Franco of Peru NY and Joseph Lucian (Ashley) Franco of Bpt. daughter Tina Franco , 3 grandchildren: Jerry Franco age 13, Angelia Franco age 7 and Michael Ollis age 11, as well as 2 brothers Joseph (Carol) Franco and Robert (Geri) Loiewski of Lakeland, FL and 2 sisters, Sandra (William) and Carol (Mike) Scaglia of Norwalk, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister Barbara Jean Franco, daughter Stephanie Lynn Franco and a grandson Jonathan Kenneth Franco His family would like to extend their gratitude to Jerry's niece Annette LoStrappo for the care she helped provide.
Funeral services will be held at 11am on Friday, June 28, with burial to follow at St. John Cemetery, Norwalk. His family will receive friends on Friday beginning at 10 am at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave, Norwalk. For directions or online guestbook, please go to:
