Poplawski, Izydor T.
Poplawski, Izydor T., 46, of Shelton, entered into eternal rest on the mornning of September 8, 2013 as a result of a scuba diving accident in eastern Pennsylvania. He was born in Krakow, Poland on July 12, 1967 and came to the United States in 1988 residing in Fairfield. Izydor was loved and known for his free spirit of nature, his generosity and his desire to achieve all of his dreams. Izydor will be remembered as being very smart, resourceful, ambitious and determined. He loved to be on the go living his life in full throttle position. He could not stay still accomplishing many goals he set for himself as recently obtaining his A.S. degree from Housatonic Community College in 2011. He was a gifted musician and photographer and his legacy lives on in the pictures he took, and the music he once played. His treasures, along with his girls and wife, were his guitar and violin. A person could always count on him to be their photographer. A loyal and dear friend whose laughter was infectious and his smile would light up a room. He was employed by Liberty Mutual. Izydor was an avid scuba diver and was a member of Best Recreational & Technical Scuba Club (BRATS). Izydor is survived by his loving wife, Ewa; two adoring daughters, Klaudia and Abigail. His mother-in-law, Maria Lis, of Bridgeport. A brother-in-law, Grzegorz Lis with his wife Margaret and their son, Sebastian of Fairfield. An aunt and uncle; Kristina and Walter Waupotitsch of Fairfield with their sons, Robert and Christopher Waupotitsch. He has several other relatives in Fairfield County and in Poland. He will be sorely missed by all of his family, friends and co-workers. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Poplawski Family. Calling hours are at St. Michael's Archangel Church, address below, in the lower church hall on Friday, September 13, from 6pm-8pm. A celebration of Izydors life will take place at a church memorial service being held on Saturday, September 14 at 1:00pm, at St. Michael's Archangel Church 310 Pulaski St in Bridgeport, CT.
