Lenwood Peel, age 82 of Bridgeport entered into eternal rest Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Suffolk, VA, Lenwood has resided in Bridgeport for the past fifty-three years. He was a construction worker with John J. Brannon Construction and served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict and was honorably discharged. Survivors include his estranged wife, Mary Williams of NC; his companion of twenty years, Rosemary Kostek of Bridgeport; three sons, Ronald Williams of NC, Lenwood (Antoinette) Williams of Bridgeport and Lorenzo (Sylvia) Williams of NC; two daughters, Vanessa (Everton) Walker and Bernice Peel of Bridgeport, a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews and nieces. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at Morton's Mortuary, Inc., 25 Margaret E. Morton Lane, Bridgeport with Pastor Clifton Allen, Pastor of True Pentecostal Church, officiating.
