Born to Ferdinando and Louise Forte on April 4th, 1921 in Bridgeport CT, Leonard was one of twelve siblings. Always a hard-working and patriotic man, in 1944 he was called to War, and served in the Navy as a Gunner's mate for 2 years. He met his future wife Angeline (Allis) Forte in 1949 at the Ritz Ballroom, and they danced their way to the altar on December 2, 1950. They had three children and moved to Trumbull in 1958. Leonard and his wife continued dancing into their mid 80's. Leonard will forever be remembered as a devoted husband, father, brother and uncle, whose kindness, patience, love, helpfulness, loyalty and hard work meant so much to so many.
