Luciano Sproviero Obituary

SPROVIERO Luciano P. Sproviero, 82, of Bridgewater loving husband and childhood sweetheart of Sara Sproviero, died peacefully at his home on Thursday, March 1st. He was born on May 25, 1929 in Rovito , Italy , son of the late Salvatore and Cristina (Gualtieri) Sproviero. In his early twenties he fulfilled his dream of making the United States his home. He was a proud American, who was grateful for all the opportunities he had been given. He was a hard working man who enjoyed building his businesses and providing for his family. Luciano owned and managed real estate properties, hotels and self service Laundromats. When he wasn't working he could be found gardening at his home. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who took great satisfaction in being generous with his family and those he loved. In addition to his cherished wife of 60 years, Sara, he will be sadly missed by his two sons, Joseph Sproviero and his wife, Cynthia of Easton, Louis Sproviero and his wife, Celeste of Bridgewater; his daughter, Christina Palmieri of Brookfield; his seven beloved grandchildren, Lucien, Sarah, Alexander, Olivia, and Nathaniel Sproviero, Paul and Antonietta Palmieri. He is also survived by his brother, Michael Sproviero of Bethel ; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions may be made in his honor to ALS Association Connecticut Chapter, 4 Oxford Rd. Unit D4, Milford , CT 06460 or online at http://webct.alsa.org. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Monday, March 5th at St. Joseph Church , Brookfield . Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery . The family will receive friends from 2 to 6 PM on Sunday, March 4th at Brookfield Funeral Home, 786 Federal Rd. , Brookfield .
