Luke A. Verrilli Sr.

VERRILLI Luke A. Verrilli Sr., age 82 of Bridgeport, passed away on Thursday, November 4, 2010 in Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Bridgeport to the late Ralph and Anna (Riccio) Verrilli, Luke has been a lifelong city resident. He retired form Sikorsky Aircraft in 1993 after 35 years of service as a painter and was a member of the Sikorsky Quarter Century Club. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean War. Survivors include his best friend and loving wife, Judith Kennedy Verrilli; his devoted children, Ann Marie Verrilli and Justin Gifford, all of Bridgeport; a daughter-in-law, Yolanda Tkacs Verrilli of Stratford; a grandson, Justin Lee Gifford of Bridgeport; a granddaughter, Sonya Tkacs of Hamden; a brother, Eugene Verrilli and his wife, Marina of Stratford; four aunts, Mary D'Agostino and her husband, John, Lillian Quedeneldt, Jackie Speakman-Reimiller and Leona Harvie; also his loving dog, Prince. Luke was prede-ceased by his first wife, Dorothy Arcotta Verrilli and his son Luke A. Verrilli Jr. Funeral services will take place on Monday, November 8, 2010 at 9:15 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home, 50 Paradise Green Place, Stratford and at 10 a.m. in St. Ambrose Church, Bridgeport with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment with Full Military Honors will take place in St. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford.
