ARIANO Mario R. (Moe) Ariano, age 67, of Oxford, formerly of Bridgeport, entered into eternal rest unexpectedly on Sunday, February 26, 2006. He was the beloved husband of Mary (Burdo) Ariano of Oxford. Mario was born May 28, 1938 in Bridgeport, he was the son of the late Carmine and Antoinette (Castaldo) Ariano. He was a retired employee of Sikorsky Aircraft having worked in production control. In addition to his beloved wife, Mary, survivors include his three loving and devoted children, son, Mark A. Ariano and his wife, Kathleen, of Trumbull; daughters, Dawn M. (Ariano) Pecoraro and her husband, Robert, of Oxford, and Michelle Ariano of Oxford; his five cherished grandchildren who affectionally knew him as "Papa Moe", Krysta, Christopher, Michael, Katelyn and Lauren; a brother, Carmine Ariano; and several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to his parents, Mario was predeceased by his brothers, Al, Jerry, and Angelo Ariano; and his sister, Rosie Kozar. Funeral services will take place on Thursday March 2, 2006 at 8:15 a.m. from the Spadaccino Community Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Turnpike, (Rte.111) Monroe, and then at St. Thomas the Apostle Church 733 Oxford Rd. Oxford, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at St. John Cemetery, Monroe. The Ariano family will receive friends on Wednesday March 1, 2006 from 4 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
