Olga Susla, age 90, of Bridgeport, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, February 6, 2014. She was the widow of Walter Susla.
Mrs. Susla was born in Ukraine and emigrated to the United States in 1949. She was retired from Conco Medical Corporation. She was devoted to her church where she had been very active with the Ukranian Sisterhood. Mrs. Susla was proud of her Ukrainian heritage and enjoyed cooking traditional Ukranian meals.
The family wishes to thank the caring staff at Lord Chamberlain and Vitas Hospice for their compassion and guidance.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Marko and Cathy Susla of New Jersey; one sister-in-law, Carolyn Lar of Ohio; two nieces and four nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her son, Ihor Susla.
Friends are invited to attend the funeral on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at 10 am at the Pistey Funeral Home, 2155 Main Street, Stratford and at 10:30 am at Holy Protection of the BVM Ukrainian Catholic Church. Interment will be in the Spring at Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery, Ansonia. Friends may call on Monday from 4 to 7 pm. Panikhida at 4:30 pm.
