Ralph DePasqua Obituary

DEPASQUA Ralph Joseph DePasqua, age 87, of Fairfield and beloved husband of Grace (Donahue) DePasqua, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Tuesday afternoon at Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Stratford, the son of the late Raphael and Mary (Luciano) DePasqua, he was the youngest of nine children. Ralph co-owned J & R Amoco Service Station in Bridgeport with his older brother, Joe. Later on he worked at the Town of Easton Highway Dept. Ralph was a resident of Easton for over 40 years. He was a lifelong gardener, enjoyed bicycling, dancing, animals and he was known and loved by everyone he met. During his retirement he and his wife, were avid swimmers at Fairfield YMCA. In addition to his wife, Grace, he is survived by a son, Frank J. DePasqua of Monroe; a daughter, Maryellen DePasqua of Naugatuck; and a sister, Marie Peyton of California. A graveside burial will be held on Friday, December 5, at 10 a.m. at the Gate of Heaven Cemetary, Daniels Farm Rd, Trumbull followed by a church service at 10:30 a.m. at St. Jude Church, 707 Monroe Tnpk, Monroe. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made in his memory to the Alzheimer's Association, 10 Wall St., Norwalk, CT 06850. The Spadaccino & Leo P. Gallagher & Son Community Funeral Home has been entrusted to serve the family.

I remember Mr. DePasqua and his family from when I was growing up at Notre Dame parish in Easton. He was such a nice man. May he rest in peace. My sympathy to the entire family.
