Bennard, Rose M.
Rose M. Bennard, 93, of Ansonia, peacefully entered into eternal rest on November 23, 2012, at Griffin Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Pasquale Bennard. Mrs. Bennard was born in Derby on November 16, 1919, daughter of the late Angelo and Cleonice Ragaini Bertozzi. She grew up in Derby and was a resident of Ansonia for over 60 years. Rose enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening and spending time with her family. She is survived by a son, Richard J. Bennard of Riverside, CA, a daughter, Patricia R. Jahn and her husband Frederick of Beacon Falls, two sisters, Louise DeGennaro of Derby and Norma LaPointe of Branford, loving and cherished granddaughter, Renee L. Velardi and her husband Paul of Ansonia, grandson, David C. Salerno of Beacon Falls, granddaughter, Antoinette VanDerLinden and her husband Michael of CA, six great-grandchildren, Melissa and Matthew Velardi, Dante and Jesse Salerno, Joseph and Nicholas VanDerLinden, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Nora L. Mongillo. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday November 27, 2012, from 5-8 pm in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. On Wednesday, friends and relatives are asked to gather at 8:15 am at the funeral home, where her funeral will process to St. Mary's Church in Derby for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 am.
