Salvatore A., Licitra, age 72 of Bridgeport, beloved husband of Marlene (Mimi) Hannon Licitra, died unexpectedly at home on Friday February. 8, 2013. Sal was a lifetime Bridgeport resident, a 30 year member of the Bridgeport Police Department. He was a member of the Bridgeport Police Union local 1159 serving as Sgt-At-Arms for several terms, he also was a member of Council 15-Conn. of Police Unions. Sal was also a life member of the Bridgeport Police Benevolent Association and a member of the Bridgeport Police Mutual Death Assoc, Retired Police and Fire Assoc, of Bridgeport; Bridgeport Elks Lodge # 36 and the Moose Club. He was predeceased by a son Scott and a brother Joe. In addition to his wife he is survived by his children Allison Larkin, Jeffrey Licitra and his wife Maureen, Robin Licitra, and John Licitra. Thirteen grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, his sister-in-law and her husband Dianne and Paul Blatchley, a special niece and nephew PJ Blatchley and Kristin Blatchley and a brother John Licitra. Friends are invited to attend his Funeral on Friday at 10:00 am (directly) at St. Margaret's Shrine, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be in Mt. Grove of Easton Cemetery.
