Ahern, Timothy
Timothy Martin Ahern, age 65, of Bristol (and previously of Stratford) passed away Saturday, November 17, 2012. Tim was born December 19, 1946 in Bridgeport, son of the late Martin J. and Mary Rose (Kearney) Ahern, and lived in the Bridgeport-Stratford area before moving to Bristol 10 years ago. He was a 1965 graduate of Bunnell High School and a member of the Local 210 Carpenters Union. Tim was devoted to his family and friends. He loved fishing, riding his motorcycle, and enjoyed all that life had to offer. Tim was a 15-year member of AA & NA, an ambassador of goodwill who actively helped others in need. Survivors include his son, Robert Rodia, of Bristol; his granddaughter, Ryan; a brother, Brian J. Ahern and his wife Joann, of Orange; two sisters, Maureen Ahern and Rita Ahern, both of Stratford; three nephews, Gary Feather, Jeremy Ahern, and Sean Ahern; and a niece, Abby Ahern. Friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Saturday, November 24, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. at the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main St, Stratford, to be followed by a funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Church in Stratford. Interment will be private. Friends may visit with the family Friday from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. and are invited to sign the online guest book at www.wrmcdonaldfuneralhome.com.
