ALVARADO Victor Jose Alvarado Sr., 56, of Stratford, entered into rest on April 6, 2012, at Griffin Hospital. He was the beloved companion and soul mate of Barbara Jean Ardito. Mr. Alvarado was born in Santurce, Puerto Rico on July 29, 1955, loving son of Carmen Ann Lopez of Bridgeport and the late Antonio Alvarado. He was employed and truly enjoyed working as an auto body repairman at Earl Shy Body Shop in Bridgeport for many years. He also an avid outdoorsman and loved his family. In addition to Barbara Jean, he is survived by three sons, Tino Negron of Stratford, Anthony Alvarado (Stephanie) of Middletown, and Victor Alvarado Jr., a daughter, Tina Flores (Obie) of Stratford, 4 brothers, Conrado Alvarado, Angel Alvarado, Antonio Alvarado and Pedro Rojas all of Bridgeport, 2 sisters, Juana Perez of Bridgeport and Maria of Bridgeport, 5 grandchildren including Victoria Velasquez and Anthony Alvarado and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral on Thursday April 12, 2012, at 9:00 am from the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at St. Augustine Cathedral, 359 Washington Avenue in Bridgeport. Interment will follow in St. John Cemetery in Monroe. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 5-8 pm.
