Another angel has come to sing and play with you. Paul Rogalin was one of your success stories. You gave him his love of music and for that many people are forever in your debt. Miss you Mrs T.

I was a vocal student of hers when I was 18 years old. I loved to sing and she supported that creative side in me. I am now 54 years old and have moved out of the area many years ago but I have thought of her often. I send my deepest condolence to her family.

Well said, Subee, she's one of my brightest memories of Andrew Warde HS.

Mrs T,
Has it been 10 years? You are still missed. Before we met singing in the choir was just singing. It became much more than that.
Thank you for all you gave,

I remember going to her home in Easton and how lovely and serene it was. Quite a contrast to the chaos of our Chorus rehersals with 50+ singers in the same music room :-D
Good times and a very great memory

Mz. Triolo taught life lessons I still employ today.
She has been a genuine force in my life as a spiritual Dragon I needed so very often in my life.
Thank you for this generous opportunity to share our thoughts and our memories.
She never knew how much influence she had on my life.
Thank you so very much.

Mrs. Triolo touched my life with her gift of music. She touched my heart with her kind and gentle guidance. I respected and admired her as my teacher. She was my friend and confidante. Mrs. Triolo inspired me to be all that I could be. She encouraged me to follow my dreams. Mrs. Triolo provided me with strength. She helped me gain confidence.
My heart is heavy for those who were not blessed to have Mrs. Triolo touch their lives, but her legacy carries on through those she has touched so deeply.
Until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His hand.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Mrs. Triolo. She truly was my favorite teacher of all time, and I to this day think of her talent and the blessings that she gave to me often as I practice the vocal warm-ups that she taught. She was our music teacher at Mill Hill Elementary in 1979, and we were all so blessed to have her. She brought all of us the gift of music by teaching us show tunes from The Sound of Music, Oklahoma, West Side Story, etc. The 6th Grade had so much fun performing these productions. Whenever Mrs. Triolo stepped foot into Mill Hill School dressed to the nines in her skirt and pumps, she had a pack of students following her saying, "Mrs. Triolo, Mrs. Triolo." Everyone wanted her attention. She picked out some incredible singing talent from our sixth grade class and invited our class to attend the Andrew Warde High School choral performances which were absolutely gorgeous. I can see that she has touched so many lives, and I will always remember her as one of the most gifted women that I have ever met.

I just learned today that my music teacher, vocal coach and mentor Walia Triolo has passed away. Wally handled herself with a grace and professionalism, coupled with her musicianship that was beyond wonder. We were all so very fortunate at AWHS to have been taught by her and touched by her talent. She is responsible for the singer that I became and continue to be to this day - she also served as a role model which I have tried to emulate throughout my life. I warm up my voice to her vocalises every single day still...I too will always remember as others have her WAT signature that still graces many of my notes from music lessons and musical scores.
RIP - I can hear you warming the choir in heaven...xxxooo

Dear Vic, we were so saddened to hear of Wallie's passing. She was truly a wonderful lady with an incredible singing voice and gift for inspiring her students. We loved having her sing with us at Fairfield-Grace on special occasions. We remember those times fondly. Our condolences.

Wallie with her florid WAT signature was the first real diva I ever met. She taught me what it meant to have grace, bearing, talent and empathy. Victor, I know she was the love of your life. She is now in charge of the cherubim and seraphim and that's why all music I hear now feels and sounds more divine.
I am going to liberally re-interpret Isaiah 9:2 & Matthew to say: The teenagers that walked in darkness during those difficult high school years saw a great light and on us that light shined. That light was Walia. There will never be another like her.
To all of you upon whom Wallie's light shined... you know what I mean.

The best memory i have of high school is having been in Mrs. Triolo's choir class. She was the most talented and confident woman i had ever known. She made me feel like i could achieve anything if i just gave it my all. I was so saddened to hear of her passing. I hope she knew what a special lady she was to so many people especially her students. i have wonderful memories of her like in madrigals, h.m.s pinafore, numerous Christmas concerts and all-state competitions. Thankyou Mrs. T. for being the best teacher and singing coach. and a huge thankyou for making my highschool experience so much richer because of your influence. Rest in peace lovely lady.

Mrs.Triola,
you will surely be missed. You have given a lot of students the gift of how to use their and contol their GOd given gift, their voice. You were also the strength behind every note that we sang. You also helped me get through one of the hardest performances of my life, singing the Ave Maria at my mothers funeral at the age of 13.may you rest in eternal peace and fill the heaven and our hearts with you blessed music."How do you measure a year in a life? How about love!" My sympathies to all your family.God bless.

We have been so out of touch that we just heard today of Walia's passing. I am so very sad. She was a beautiful guide for both my daughters through the world of music and drama. Her encouragement continues to bolster them today in their musical pursuits and we all are forever grateful for her involvement in our lives. Our sincere sympathies to Victor.

Mrs. T holds such a wonderful memory in my heart with music in high school. Since I was a senior when she started at Warde, I only had the joy of learning from her for one year, but she became friends with my family and even lended her beautiful voice to several of our church's choir performances. I am now a music teacher in CA and think of her loving guidance as I teach my students. Condolences to her family.

It's almost impossible to put into words the way Mrs. T. effected us. The thing that keeps coming to mind is the scene from The Sound of Music (of course) where the Captain asks the children to sing The Hills Are Alive... after Maria leaves. They tried to, she taught them well, but without her, it was just too painful.
The quintessential tough love mentor - we always knew you were in charge, and at the same time how much you cared about us. I hope you knew how much we cared about you, Mrs. T.
Heaven's gain.

Mrs.Triolo was my rock during high school. Her classes gave me a reason to get up in the morning and greet the day with a song and a smile. I don't think I could have made it through high school without her. She was and always will be my favorite teacher and friend. You are missed.

"Mrs. T" was more than a music teacher & talent for my formative high school days. I learned tremendous lessons form her about life and what it takes to survive and truly make a difference in the world.
She taught us all to find our voices vocally and personally - one student at a time. It is my honor and privilege to now live out those lessons and light the candles for others. God Bless You Mrs. T and thank you for everything!!

"Mrs. T" was so much more than just a choir teacher and musical talent. Yes, she touched my life and enhanced my love of music but she did so much more. She taught me how to find and use my inner voice and self. I learned how to sing the "song of life" and share this beautiful gift with all those that are near and dear to my heart.
One candle of life lit can touch the lives of others and enlighten an entire world. She lived that teaching us all - one student at a time. Now we have the privilege, honor and responsibility to carry this on in our own lives. Each one, Reach one!!
God Bless you "Mrs. T"!

I began in Miss Triolo's choir class mid-way through my Freshman year and was instantly transformed from a shy, timid girl into a song bird. I actually only enrolled in the class for the credits, not realizing I had a voice that people would want to listen to. In her patient and caring way she taught me to use my voice and actually made it fun. Although I didn't pursue a musical career after high school, although she wanted me to, many years later I am often complimented on my voice and I thank and remember her every time. She gave me my voice, music, laughter and my first Lincoln Center Opera experience. I am truly saddened that her gift will no longer be shared with the youth of tomorrow and can onlyh imagine the incredible choir she now has the priveledge to conduct. Thank You For Being You!

Miss Triolo gave me one on one voice lessons after school so I could sing better when I played Old Man River in Show Boat. As an adult I now appreciate your caring heart and your devotion to your students. My heart is with you and your family.
Thank You :-)

I can see "WAT" written in that artsy script of hers on the bottom of many a memo. Dear woman, you were an effortless teacher, mentor, and friend. You fed souls as much as any cleric could.
In paradisum deducant te Angeli; in tuo adventu suscipiant te martyres, et perducant te in civitatem sanctam Ierusalem. Chorus angelorum te suscipiat, et cum Lazaro quondam paupere æternam habeas requiem.
May angels lead you into paradise; upon your arrival, may the martyrs receive you and lead you to the holy city of Jerusalem. May the ranks of angels receive you, and with Lazarus, the poor man, may you have eternal rest.

Walia Triolo always put her students first. She was an incredibly patient teacher who took me from a tone-deaf back-bencher to leading roles in shows and she was the best accompanist I ever worked with hands-down.
Last Sunday several of the people sitting next to me in church turned to me after the service and said, "You sing so well!" Somewhere, I knew Mrs. Triolo was smiling.
God bless you, Walia! Your legacy lives on in so many.

Ms. Triolo changed my high school experience in the mid 70s. Joining the choir and participating in the musicals gave me a more positive attitude about school, an appreciation for good teachers, and a positive group of people to spend time with. She was a very kind person.

I graduated Warde in 1977. It's amazing to see here all the lives she touched. And I thought it was just me. Hmmmmm. We did the Messiah front to back until I heard it in my sleep. I still hear it today. You will be missed "Wally". God bless!

Wallia Triolo was very special to me. There were so many fond memories of our Choir group that will stay with me forever, but one in particular comes to mind. We were performing Handel's Messiah at a home for the elderly at Christmas time. When we finished, one of the nurses came up to her and I, and said "I can't believe it! You are truly magical! Mildred over there has not spoken in ten years, and when we did the Halleluiah Chorus, she sang along!!!! This is the magic of Wallia Triolo. I am deeply saddened and will always remember this wonderful lady. Victor, please accept my deepest sympathy. Rest in Peace Mrs. T.

I was saddened to learn of Mrs. Walia (Wally) Triolo's passing. I remember her as a music teacher with unlimited patience. She agreed to use her abundent musical talent to teach me to "play" the piano. In the little waiting room, where I waited for my turn at the keyboard, I would hear how her playing, instructions and vocalizations worked magic with the other students, all of whom were vocalists. I always arrived early, so I would have more time to listen. It was truly inspiring. always amiable, always encouraging. She will be missed.

I graduated Andrew Warde High School in 1976 and was a member of the Concert Choir under Mrs. Triolo's guidance for 2 years. She was a wonderful teacher who taught us to work hard and laugh and strive for excellence in music. I think of her every time I hear Handel's Messiah or any of a number of other pieces we worked on with her. She helped me take the voice God gave me and turn it into an instrument of joy. God bless her and my condolences to the family.

I cannot begin to count the important moments in my life that were, in some way connected to Mrs. Triolo. She taught so many of us to sing and she also taught us what it meant to work as a team. The sheer joy that emanated from her choir room is a memory I will always hold dear.
