Bill was the kindest, more compasssionate person. We can't thank him enough for all the things he helped us with in the past. The kindness, compassion and overall niceness made a difficult transition so much easier for us all. We will always be grateful for everything he did for us.
Thank you Bill always

I was privileged to have Bill as my principal for almost 20 years. In his quiet way, he accomplished so much for the parents and children at Eastbury School. He was a leader in providing access and acceptance for children with special needs being placed in the regular classroom. My thoughts and prayers are with Joanne and his family.

My sincere condolences to you, Jo-Ann, and your entire family. I knew Bill when he served as Principal of Timothy Dwight Elementary School and then lost touch when he moved on to a position in Glastonbury. May you and your entire family find comfort in the many loving memories you will always have of times spent with Bill. Sincerely, Donna

Ann and I have fond memories of Bill that go back almost 40 years. Bill was my mentor when I was an administrative intern in the Hazel Crest/ Oak forest school district in Illinois. He was one of the most caring school principals I ever met. He loved working with children and their families. Bill and I skied together up to Bill's seventies. He was a wonderful, loving, thoughtful person. We will miss him.

I was privileged to work with Bill as Eastbury School PTO President in the 90's. He was first and foremost a principal for the children. Bill was always able to relate to every child and figure out the best way to educate and motivate them. He treated them all with love, kindness, and respect. I am grateful to have known him and seen his gifts first hand.

Jo Ann, we share your loss. Bill was an incredible educator, administrator, principal, advocate, and...friend. He was the kindest of men. You two together will always be role models to all of us who knew you. We will miss Bill for the good that he did along the way. Most of all, though, we will always remember him for the character that he was...the music lover, the lover of all children, the traveler, the wine drinker, and the Irishman who MUST have kissed that Blarney Stone! If we weren't so far away, we'd be with you today. We will always remember him with love. That love goes out to you and your extended family today and always.
