Stramoski, Zygmunt
Zygmunt Stramoski, 88, husband of the late Geraldine A. (Bowden) Stramoski, died Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at Bridgeport Hospital. He was a lifelong resident of Bridgeport and was a WWII Army veteran. Ziggy retired as a pumper engineer for the Bridgeport Fire Department after 32 years of service, and served as sexton for St. Andrew Church for 26 years. He was an avid sports fan who especially enjoyed watching the UConn Womens Basketball team. He liked to spend his leisure time reading the daily newspaper, completing the crossword puzzles, and traveling with his family. He adored his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survivors include his loving and devoted children, Mark A. Stramoski of Bridgeport, Paul Z. Stramoski and his wife Sandra of Shelton, and Patricia A. Hajducky and her husband Joseph of Trumbull; three grandchildren, Dana Infante, Daniel Hajducky and Matthew Hajducky; and great grandchildren, Nicholas and Sophia Infante and several nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to attend the funeral on Monday at 9:15 am from the Fairfield Funeral Home of Edmund W. Dougiello, 36 South Pine Creek Road and at 10 am in St. Andrew Church in Bridgeport with a Mass of Christian Burial. Committal will be private. Friends may call on Sunday, at the funeral home, from 1 to 5 pm. Contributions may be made in Ziggy's memory to St. Andrew Church, 395 Anton St., Bridgeport, CT, 06606.
