Bernadette Scully

SCULLY Bernadette Scully, age 77 of Shelton, entered into rest on Thursday January 13, 2011 in St. Vincent's Medical Center, Bridgeport surrounded by family. She is the devoted wife of Edward Scully; her husband of 56 years. Mrs. Scully was born in Brooklyn, NY April 11, 1933 daughter of the late Vincent J. and Margaret Kavanagh and was a Shelton resident for over 44 years. She was both a dedicated nurse for over 20 years at Bridgeport Hospital, and a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She is the beloved mother of Christine Cass and her husband Jon, Patricia Scully and her husband Michael Curtin, Kevin Scully and his wife Raquel, Douglas Scully, Margaret Scully and her husband Douglas Cyr, Matthew Scully and wife Susan, and the late Mark Scully and Jennifer Scully. She is the loving sister of Nancy Campbell, and her husband John, the cherished grandmother of Dylan, Andrew, Matthew, Scout, Brooklyn, Piper, Grace, Olivia, Zachary, Alexandra, Connor, Madeline, and Ryan. She is the aunt of John, Margaret Mary, Christian, and Laura. Friends may greet her family on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. in the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton. On Monday her funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 8:15 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. in St. Margaret Mary Church. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery Shelton.
