Zadravecz, Jr., Frank J.
Frank J. Zadravecz, Jr., age 86, of Fairfield, the beloved husband of the late Regina A. Zadravecz, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 21, 2014. Born in Bridgeport, Frank was a lifelong Fairfield resident. He was a U.S. Army veteran during World War II. Frank began his career with Clark Metal Products where he met his one and only Regina, the love of his life. He then became a Police Officer with the Fairfield Police Dept. where he retired after thirty years.
Frank spent time with his wife at the Ritz Ball Room; enjoyed fishing at Lake Zoar and driving his Motor Home with his bride at his side to Florida, Indiana and Lake George.
Frank is survived by his three loving daughters and their husbands, Roseann and Paul Carberry of Lady Lake, FL, Frances and Robert Vitti of Greenwich and Katherine and Joseph Gall of Shelton; his three cherished grandchildren, Kristen Veneziano and her husband, Adam of Hamden, Joseph Gall of Shelton and Melissa Vitti of Greenwich and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his two brothers, Joseph and James Zadravecz.
Friends are invited to attend his funeral on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 leaving the Shaughnessey Banks Funeral Home, 50 Reef Road, in Fairfield Center at 9:30 a.m. to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Interment to follow in St. Michael's Cemetery with full Military Honors. A visitation will take place on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
