Roy, Joseph A.
Joseph Alfred Roy, age 86, of Shelton entered into rest on Tuesday Feb. 25, 2014 in Bridgeport Hospital with his loving family by his side. He was the devoted husband of 67 years to Antoinette (Morel) Roy.
He was born in Holden, MA on August 18, 1927 son of the late Joseph and Olive (Johnson) Roy and was a resident of Bridgeport and Shelton for most of his life.
Joseph was an employee of Schick for over 30 years retiring as a Tool and Die Supervisor in 1989. He loved Golf and Bowling.
He served in the U.S. Navy Veteran during W.W. II and the Korean Conflict.
He is the beloved father of Sharon Liacos and her husband Matthew and the late Joseph Alfred Roy, proud grandfather of Matthew Liacos, Jr. and Michael Liacos. He is also survived by his brother Donald Roy (Pat), his sister Dorothy Bender(Joseph), his daughter-in-law Christine Padilla, his sister-in-laws Alice Girard, Nancy DuBreuil, Helen Beaulieu (Edmund), Lucilla Moreau, and several nieces and nephews.
His funeral service will be private. The Riverview Funeral Home 390 River Rd. Shelton are entrusted with the arrangements.
