Kreshpan, Peter M.
Peter M. Kreshpan, age 75, of Easton, the beloved husband of over 53 years to Carole (Gernat) Kreshpan, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, March 2, 2014 with his family by his side. Born in Bridgeport to the late Gus and Evangeline (Kasuli) Kreshpan, he was a lifelong area resident. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his loving son, David Kreshpan and his fiancée, Viola Morton of Fairfield; his cherished grandchildren, David, Jr. and Carly Kreshpan, both of Newtown; and his Yorkie, Muffin and his son's Storkie, Mindy.
Peter was a banker and retired as Vice President from the Bank of America, formerly known as Shawmut and the Connecticut National Bank. Peter was an amazing family man and enjoyed every moment spent with his wife, children and grandchildren. In his spare time, he and Carole loved to travel and visited many destinations, domestically and abroad. They also loved to share planned trips with close friends, especially at the beach cottage in Rhode Island, Las Vegas, Pennsylvania and Canada. Peter had a very active life and loved to golf, bowl, ski and boat. He also learned to ride a motorcycle and even obtained his pilot license and flew the family over their house. Peter had a wonderful sense of humor and could even be found cutting coupons on a regular basis.
Friends are invited to attend the funeral on Thursday, March 6, 2014 at 6:30 p.m. at the Shaughnessey Banks Funeral Home, 50 Reef Rd. in Fairfield Center. Friends may greet the family from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service. Interment will be private.
