Elliot Glunts, age 88 of Bridgeport, CT and Boynton Beach, FL, passed away on Monday, March 31, 2014 in Delray Beach, FL. A generous and honorable man who lived his life with great character, integrity, and boundless love of family, he left this world a much better place. His caring ways and positive spirit were an inspiration to many. He was a graduate of Bassick High School, attended Syracuse University, and was a naval veteran. He was a mason, past president of Congregation Rodeph Sholom, and held leadership positions in many organizations. He enjoyed a fulfilling career as a financial advisor for more than fifty years. He was the beloved head of a crew of twenty-two: his wife Doris, the great love of his life, daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and Ronald Polansky, Jane and Andrew Kampf, grandchildren and their spouses, Lisa and Gabe Solomon, Joshua and Lucy Kampf, Alan Polansky and Katie Dealy, Robyn and Jayson Fulton, and by great grandchildren, Ella, Kyla, Ben, Caleb, Savannah, Noah, Pace, and Elijah. He also treasured his Merrill Lynch family, Jackie, Holly, Sarah, Chris, and Debby. He was predeceased by parents Anna and Harry Glunts, sister Gertrude Nevins, and parents-in-law Martin and Fanny Schachter. Services will take place on Thursday April 3, 2014 at 11:00 AM from Congregation Rodeph Sholom 2385 Park Avenue in Bridgeport, with interment following at Rodeph Sholom memorial Park on Kings Highway in Fairfield.
