Ronald R. Riccio, Sr., beloved husband of Patti Thompson Riccio, long time Fairfield residents, died to this life on Saturday April 5, 2014 at the Connecticut Hospice in Branford. Ron was born in Meriden, CT to the late John and Minnie Riccio of Wallingford. Ron graduated from the University of CT in 1961 and received his MBA from Loyola University Chicago in 1969. Ron proudly served in the US Air Force serving as Logistics Officer at KI Sawyer AFB, MI during the Vietnam War. After completion of service he transferred to Chicago, IL, Providence, RI, and Manhattan, NY where he worked in sales for UARCO, Inc. He was owner and President of Dataforms, Inc. prior to his retirement in 2000. He was an avid golfer and loved skiing and playing tennis with his children at their family home in Quechee, VT. He enjoyed restoring his home and tending to his trees and gardens on Hickory Lane in Greenfield Hill. In addition to his devoted wife of 48 years, Patti, he is survived by his loving children Ronald Riccio, Jr. And his wife Christina of Glendale, AZ, Tracey Ranta and her husband, Ned, of Denver, CO, Katie Puris and her husband, Jason, of Brooklyn, NY, and John Riccio of Los Angeles, CA. Ron delighted in his 5 grandchildren Ronald Riccio III, Davis Riccio, Sofia Ranta, Oliver Puris, and Clementine Puris. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 11, 2014 at 11 AM directly at The Greenfield Hill Congregational Church, 1045 Old Academy Road, Fairfield, CT. Burial will follow with full military honors at Oak Lawn Cemetery, Fairfield. Friends may greet the family on Thursday, April 10, 2014 from 5 to 8 PM in the LESKO & POLKE FUNERAL HOME 1209 Post Road in Fairfield Center.
