Virginia Frances "Dolly" Zullo, age 87, of Norwalk, died peacefully at the Norwalk Hospital on Friday, May 8, 2014. She was the wife of the late John Zullo. Virginia was born in Greenwich on September 22, 1926, the daughter of the late James and Carmella Perry Pioli and has lived in Norwalk for most of her life. She worked as a hair dresser for over 30 years in Westport and Rowayton. Virginia truly loved to be with her family more than anything else and was a loving, devoted mother and grandmother. She will be dearly missed by them and her extended family.
Survivors include her loving children John James Zullo of Norwalk and Robin Constance Lisi and her husband Dominic of Trumbull, her adoring granddaughters Diana Shyket and her husband Harry and Pamela Ann Lisi, sisters Marie Calabrese of Greenwich and Josephine Cook of Fairfield, many nieces, nephews and cousins and her caregiver of 3 years Patience Akuamoah.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 13, 10 AM at St. Jerome Church, 23 Half Mile Rd., Norwalk, with burial to follow at St. John Cemetery. Virginia's family will receive friends at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk on Monday from 4-8 PM.
