Rickard, Susan
Susan Stanton Rickard, age 68, of Redding, beloved wife of Denis Rickard, passed away on Thursday, May 29, 2014. Born in the Bronx, NY, daughter of the late John and Muriel Warner Stanton, Susan had lived in Long Island and came to Fairfield when she was ten and later to Redding where she had lived for over forty years. She had worked for the Covidien Corp for many years and was very proud to have earned her Paralegal degree from Boston College. Susan was a member of the Ischoda Yacht Club and belonged to the Ladies Auxiliary of Fayerweather Yacht Club and East End Yacht Club. She enjoyed crafts, painting and drawing. Suzer lived with the Christmas Spirit, she enjoyed all things about Christmas especially decorating her home and spending time with her family and friends. She will be greatly missed. In addition to her husband Denis, she is survived be her son, D.J. Rickard and his wife Stephanie of Milford, a daughter Eirinn Rickard of Danbury, a grandson Aiden Liam, a sister Muriel Greenspan and her husband Andrew of Danbury as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 10:30 am in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Rd., Fairfield Center and at 11:30 am in St. Patrick Church, 169 Black Rock Tpke in Redding. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 3-7pm in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home.
