Ronald George Shomsky, age 75, resident of Milford and beloved husband to Kathleen Murphy Shomsky, entered into eternal rest after a long illness on Thursday May 29, 2014 at Connecticut Hospice in Branford. Ronald was born on May 10, 1939 in Bridgeport, CT to the late Michael and Mary Demchak Shomsky. He worked at Bridgeport Machines until their closing and retired from Swiss Chalet Suites, a lifelong member of Teamsters Local 191. Ronnie enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, fishing and gardening, and an avid Mets and Giants fan. He was a husband, great father, grandfather, and uncle who will be truly missed.
In addition to his loving wife Kathleen of 48 years, Ronnie is survived by his children Ronald Shomsky of Milford, Maureen Shomsky of Milford; daughter in law Judy Purcell-Shomsky of Milford; two grandsons Lenny and Michael Shomsky of Milford; many loving nieces and nephews; as well as many great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends. He is predeceased by his brothers Richard Shomsky and Robert Shomsky, and sister Dorothy Relihan.

A Prayer Service will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd, at 10AM at the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad Street, Milford CT. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Buckingham Ave, Milford CT. Friends and family may call on Monday, June 2nd, from 4-8PM at the Cody-White Funeral Home.
